About Me

I was born and raised in southern Georgia. In complete honesty I must admit writing was not my first love. Baseball takes that position. Most summer days were spent with a glove in one hand while gripping the seams of a ball in the other. After high school I played two years of semi-pro baseball while attending the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. I majored in the process of elimination (Programming, no. Accounting, no. Business, no). I filled my electives with writing classes, discovering an unexpected passion.

As many others can claim, life interrupted. Those writing papers found their way to the bottom of boxes along with my baseball uniform and that memento from my first semi-pro save. I got a real job, then another, then a family.

I regret none of my steps. I type this sitting behind a desk in the house my job pays for, surrounded by my supportive wife and two children, glad to have had the opportunities the last two decades afforded. The impossible dream of becoming a professional baseball player has passed me by but writing has never left my soul.

In April 2013 I self-published my first novel, ABSOLUTION'S CURSE. Like standing on a pitchers mound and throwing a pitch after decades away from the diamond, it took a while to dust off the creative brain cells. Now that I'm loose, every day feeling more comfortable behind a keyboard, I'm ready to keep going.

Please join me on my journey.
